  1. High CO2 in the water could effect sea life. The CO2 in the water is increasing because there is a lot of CO2 in the air. Some researchers have dictated that in about 100 years from now the oysters in the water will be smaller because they take more time to grow.

  4. Carbon dioxide is a trace gas which is important to life, but is also a potential hazard and a toxin. Not all of the CO2 that goes up into the atmosphere stays there. About a quarter of it goes into the worlds oceans, and so the gas solution from the atmosphere mixes with the ocean, which changes the chemistry of the ocean. Since carbon dioxide functions as an acid in the ocean, the oceans are becoming more acidic, and will have devastating effects on the marine life and ecosystems in the future.
